HEY THERE, FELLOW VEDEN FANATICS!
My name is Ariana and I’m a personal trainer, blogger, and lover of getting sweaty here in Beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.
WHO IS THIS CHICK?
While I have been pretty active all my life, it’s only been within the past four years that I started to really focus on my health and make fitness a part of my lifestyle. After putting an end to an unhealthy ten year relationship with alcohol, I needed to find something new to occupy my time with!
I began taking my running more seriously and started to learn more about the intricacies of strength training, and as I started setting and crushing fitness goals, my confidence in myself grew and I realized “If I’m capable of this, I can do anything!”
I decided to set aside my fears of not being “fit enough” or enough of a role model and went after my dream of becoming a personal trainer. I have since built a successful business and each day I wake up excited to help women I work with realize what they are capable of.
I truly believe that eating well and getting sweaty induces a chain effect that can make this world a better place. When we feel good, we do good things. We take action on things we are inspired by, and in turn we can help somebody else improve an area of their own life, no matter how big or small.
So as busy as I get with my business, I make sure I am always taking care of myself by staying active and fueling my body with the nutrients it needs. I have my eyes on an Ironman title and I know that dream won’t work unless I do, so it’s important for me to simplify my nutrition so I can crush every workout, show up to every clients’ session with the energy they deserve, and still take some downtime for myself.
My passion within the fitness industry is helping runners incorporate strength training into their programs so they can get stronger, increase their speed, and reduce their risk of getting injured. It is my goal to help busy, recreational runners achieve PRs and levels of strength they never thought possible, so they can apply the lessons they learn during their training to other areas of their lives.
If you’d like to connect, I’d love to meet you at a workshop I am speaking at on Sunday November 15th, between 1pm and 3pm. The Live with Love Workshop will be held at Melu Juice Bar on West Pender, where myself and Melu’s owner will be discussing all things health and fitness. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with other women and sample some delicious fresh-pressed juice.
If you can’t make it, you can reach out to me through my blog or social media. I’d love to learn more about you and why living a healthy and active life is important to you!
If you’d like to begin incorporating some strength training into your program but aren’t really sure which exercises to pick or where to start, you’re in luck! I’ve put together a free 10-page guide that will provide you with a sample workout and will summarize all of the above information so you can seamlessly integrate it into your existing running program.
